Mixed Metals : The Jewellery Trend for 2026

Minimal or more, any style statement does well with a few carefully chosen jewellery pieces. A classic crewneck with jeans or a work-to-play outfit can both be made that much more interesting with a few necklaces and bracelets.

Whether this means a piece that incorporates mixed metals by design, or intentionally layering necklaces or rings of varying metals and colours, it’s an easy styling trick that doesn’t require too much effort.

Jewellery is trendless and timeless. And so, it makes sense to be able to wear it all together.

Here are some ideas to explore from one of the best jewellery stores in Kingston to inspire you as the sun warms up to the mixed metal jewellery trend for 2026.

The Tones
If you know what colour tones looks good on you -  congratulations, you already have a base to start with.

Whether you’re cool-toned or warm-toned, wearing earrings and other pieces around your face can add a piquancy to any outfit. A piece that makes your eyes brighter, or blends well with your skin tone can be the central piece around which you can design the rest of your look.

Gold tends to be warm and rich, while silver brings brightness and cool elegance. Rose gold is surprisingly versatile as well.

Colour it with Gemstones
Gemstones offer an underrated colour palette when it comes to styling jewellery. Match it with your outfit, accessories, or whatever catches your fancy, and then find colours in other metals that you plan on adding.

Diamonds, of course, go with everything, but a rose quartz set in rose gold or a pale aquamarine set in yellow gold can highlight the shades of the gemstone and make it pop.

Primary Theme
The key to the mixed metal jewellery look is to create balance with the different colours. Once you’ve identified a starting piece, ideally closer to your face, you can then match the shapes or designs of the different pieces. Geometric pieces work well together too. Links, circles, straight lines are all part of the medley.

Styling your silver and gold elements together can add dimension and depth to your look, and allows you to highlight different tones in your outfit or skin tone.
