Rhodium Plating
Rhodium plating covering gold jewellery can wear off, particularly on rings or bracelets where jewellery is more susceptible to scuffs and daily wear. We offer rhodium replating services to return the shine and sparkle to your jewellery. You can also add rhodium plating to any jewellery to make it hypoallergenic or increase the resistance to scratches. Regardless of where you bought your jewellery, we are happy to apply rhodium plating to return it to an unblemished state and bring back the silver luster.

At Frontenac Jewellers, every piece entrusted to us undergoes a meticulous multi-stage inspection and repair process, ensuring complete transparency and the highest standard of craftsmanship.
From the moment your piece is received to the final inspection, every detail is documented, verified, and handled by experienced jewellers.
Our approach has been developed for accuracy, accountability, and impeccable craftsmanship.
Step 1 — In-Store Inspection (With You Present)
• Your piece is examined in front of you
• We identify the metal type and karat
• All gemstones are visually counted
• Visible wear, damage, or unique features are documented
• Repair timeline is discussed and confirmed
If a repair is complex, we consult directly with our jewellers before proceeding.
Step 2 — Detailed Internal Assessment
• Stones are verified and recounted
• Metal is tested to confirm purity
• Diamonds are identified (natural, lab-grown, or moissanite)
• Key stones are measured and documented
• Chains and bracelets are weighed when required
• Clasps, links, prongs, and settings are inspected
Every detail is recorded to ensure your piece is returned exactly as received, but restored.
Step 3 — Master Jeweller Verification
• Owners and master jewellers verify all findings
• Potential repair risks are identified
• Special instructions and concerns are noted
• Rush timelines are prioritized
Every piece is approved by experienced hands before work begins.
After Repair: Quality Control
• Original gemstones are verified and matched
• Stone count and placement are re-confirmed
